1. Acceptance of Terms
These terms form an agreement between you and Smooth Events. They apply to hosts who create an account and events, and to guests who visit an event website, RSVP, or contribute to a live guest portal. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
2. Account & Event Creation
Hosts are responsible for safeguarding their account credentials and for activity that happens under their account. As a host you also manage who has access to your event: you decide who receives your event links, which guests and collaborators you invite, and which permissions they have. Please tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
3. Purchases & Flat-Rate Pricing
You can design and customize your event website for free. When you are ready to publish, you choose a tier (Social, VIP, or All-Access) for that event. Pricing is a one-time, flat rate per event, and the features and storage included are described on our pricing section at the time of purchase. There are no recurring subscription charges. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
4. Acceptable Content & Code of Conduct
Event websites and shared galleries are for celebrating together. You agree not to upload, post, or share content that:
- is illegal, or infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy rights;
- is harmful, hateful, harassing, threatening, or abusive;
- is sexually explicit or exploits or endangers minors; or
- contains malware, or is intended to disrupt the platform or other people's events.
Hosts are responsible for the content that appears in their galleries and guest portals. We may remove content or suspend access to an event that violates these rules.
5. Platform Availability & Preservation
We work to keep Smooth Events highly available and to protect the integrity of the memories you store with us, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or that data will never be lost. Because your event media is irreplaceable, hosts are responsible for downloading their own local backup, such as the Time Capsule ZIP archive where it is included in your tier, and keeping it somewhere safe.
6. Limitation of Liability & Governing Law
The platform is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Smooth Events is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the event the claim relates to. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Smooth Events is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions about these terms can be sent to support@smooth.events.
